Description of 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300SD |
This vehicle is in the best shape for a 31 year old car that I have ever seen. No tears in the seats. No dash cracks. 132k ORIGINAL miles. She will go down the road at 85 mph and still give you a realistic 30 mpg. Slow down to 60 and enjoy 35-37 mpg. Now, ere is the good: Again, o rust or dash cracks. Paint is about 95%. A few buffable scratches. Michelin Tires are 95%. She starts and runs smooth. Even in our cold winters here there were no problems starting or driving her. There is no rust anywhere on this vehicle, ody, nderbody or anywhere else! Antenna goes up and down! There is just way too much good with the vehicle to list. Now, he bad: The A/C does not work. The heater will boil you out of the car. Change over to R-134A is your best bet as R-12 is unavailable at any price. Estimates that I have gotten around here run around 1250.00 The cruise control amplifier is fried. You will need to change it. On Ebay for around 65-250.00 Takes about a hour to change. ALL electric switches should be changed. Meaning Sun Roof, way flashers, ct. Window switches work with the exception of the drivers side. It went down, ack up, own and stayed. Switch is bad. All of these switches are found on Ebay for reasonable prices. It needs a new underhood pad. 45.00 on, ou guessed it, Bay! The Sun Roof works one way. If you roll it back, e prepared to get out a wrench, et in the trunk on the left side and roll it back up manually. You guessed it: switch. The radio works but only on the front speakers. The back ones work, o I am thinking: SWITCH! If I can think of anything else, will add it later. |
