THE OVERVIEW
Offered for an appreciating new ownerat NO RESERVE is this classic 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SL Roadster!
Finished in charcoal grey metallic over light grey leather hides, this thirty two year-old classic R107-chassis TWO-tops roadster shows just over 164,000 miles on its working six-digit odometer [see Carfax report shown here]. It sports the factory 5.5 liter V8 engine mated to the factory automatic transmission with stopping power provided by four wheel disc brakes with ABS, cassette stereo, electric windows, both factory hard top and soft tops, a/c, cruise control, fog lamps, chrome wheel arch mouldings, cruise control and chromed factory alloy wheels with good rubber.

THE BODY AND TRIM
This 560SL is in good very dry 99.9% rust-free condition overall with nice overall luster to most of the paint finish with original bumpers and trim and significant clear coat peeling/fading.The front portion of the car shows fresher repainted areas with various nicks, scratches and other blemishes. The hard top is in very good condition with clearcoat issues, the chrome wheels have some pitting in the small holed areas, the original soft top is in EXCELLENT condition. Paint a few panels on this rust-free car or leave as is with its typical 1980s German paint "patina".

THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this 1986 Benz is in good/presentable, very original condition overall. The original seat upholstery, carpets, door panels, wood trim and headliner are still quite nice with all of the dash gauges working well. The stereo works, the dash has heat cracks, the ABS light is illuminated, the driver side window is inop [a switch?]. I think the a/c will need a charge. Overall this classic cockpit is still quite solid and comfortable.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1986 starts easily with quite strong running engine with excellent acceleration, smooth shifting transmission, solid and straight braking with solid clunk/shake-free suspension.
