Description of 1978 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

This is a great car. Excellent history, exceptionally maintained. The best thing about this car is the original interior. It is original without all the replacement stuff that some of these get. It is not perfect but for a car this age it is a 9 out of 10 inside. The dash is great, the seats are great, the carpets are perfect, the wood looks great.
The ac is still blowing cold, the heater works fine. The servo has been upgraded to the metal type. the cruise control tested good. The previous owner did extra maintenance that most would not do on an old car. This family had 4 Mercedes and only needed one. I bought 3 coupes from them and this was the nicest.
Mechanical speaking this car is above average. I put new tires on the car. I replaced the brake calipers and the glow plug relay. Windows work fine. Everything else seems to be in good order.
The car has been repainted and is good. To make this a $20,000 car I think a good paint could be done.
For the last 50 years we worked on Mercedes and the last 30 specialized in diesels. My focus was on older low mileage cars. They are harder to find and I branched into trailers about 18 years ago. The trailer business has over taken my car business and I don't have the time I like before to work on the cars. I hate to see my cars outside. they should be in someones garage getting pampered. For this reason I am wholesaling some of my stuff on eBay.
I am going to do a extra low reserve because I want this car to go to a better place. Please don't ask for the reserve. Just bid you won't be disappointed in the amount. It is to low to say.
