1979 Mercedes Benz 350SL (3.5L) 4 Speed Manual 94465 KMsORIGINAL GERMAN DELIVERY, DOCUMENTED VIN: 10704310014469 This freshly restored example is in a rare variant with the factory fitted 4 Speed manual gearbox. This Milan Brown over Parchment Leather vehicle was first delivered at Mercedes Benz Stuttgart, as proven by original Service booklet and owners manual, all in German and stamped accordingly. Imported to the US by its second owner in 1993, the car remained garage kept as is apparent with ZERO rust on the underside or in the body of this car. Solid floors, rockers, and doors. A recent $4500 service including cam adjustment, new hoses, plugs, wires, tune up. Car idles smooth at 700 RPM and revs to redline with a wonderful German growl from the stainless steel exhaust. Shifting is smooth and clutch is in good shape, grabbing with ease and in proper placement. Original Radio is functional, all gauges, lights, and ancillaries working as they should. The factory color of Milan Brown Metallic was recently refinished to a high standard, at a cost of over $7000, bringing down to bare metal and refinishing all trim pieces and black trim, and now shows like showroom new. New Tires and refinished ORIGINAL 15" BBS optioned wheels round out the appearance. Chrome is a 9/10 with no pitting, bubbling, or dents. Glass is original and excellent still with its factory markings. The hardtop is equally nice and rear defrost functional. The soft top is very good and has no cloudiness in rear plastic. Carpets are original and nice, with the exception of some staining in the rear trunk carpet. Interior leather is soft and clean, no wear or tears. Dashboard is without cracks and shows very well. Steering is light and easy to maneuver. This model year was the lowest production and final year of this motor and very rare to find, especially with a manual gearbox.
