Description of 1994 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

This is is a fine example of one of the best 129 chassis Mercedes SLs. It is a rust free car with relatively low miles. It has always been garaged and well maintained and it drives as it should.Signal Red paint (#568) with parchment leather interior and black soft top. It has a 3.2 liter in-line six cylinder engine (104.991) with 229 horsepower at 5600 RPM. and 232 foot pounds of torque at 3750 RPM. The transmission is a five speed automatic (722.5).The body is very straight and the paint is excellent. The upholstery, door panels and carpet are all excellent as shown.Includes both hard top and soft topExcellent mechanical condition. Engine and transmission. It has always been well maintained.This is a relatively easy car to maintain. 1994 was the first year of the much improved HFM engine management system in the six cylinder SLs. This system is very reliable and has excellent diagnostics. This car is rare in that it has both OBDI and OBDII diagnostic code reading. There is probably no better Mercedes model for easy and low cost diagnostic code reading by a non-professional.This car does not have optional ASR which was a very complex and problematic traction control new to this era.
