The tradition began with the 300SL back in 1957. and it continues today. The 1980 450SL was the last of its breed. and this one is a fine example of what an SL is supposed to be. It combines comfort. performance and style like nothing else on the road. This one is particularly impressive - we can't imagine it ran or drove any better when it was new. This car has obviously been properly cared for. and work has been done along the way to keep it in excellent condition. The paint shines like new. the interior is very clean. and even the top is outstanding. including the very clear rear window. Some of the older parts - like the original radio - are still with the car. stored in the trunk. (The car now has a modern unit with CD and Bluetooth installed).
