1988 Mercedes 560SL Rare Blue Green Low Miles

Dallas Motor Club is pleased to offer this stunning 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL.

This 560SL has been with the same owner since 2002 until recently when it arrived in our showroom. The exterior is finished in the stunning and very rare Blue Green Color and shows extremely well for it’s age. Minor imperfections in the exterior include a circle blemish in the paint on the passenger side of the trunk where a sticker was for years and a 2” area of bubbling on passenger lower fender near rocker panel. The factory 15” Gullideckel alloys are still in great shape a wear newer Michelin tires with plenty of tread left.

The cabin is trimmed in pebble leather with burl wood trim on the dash and center console. Factory features include automatic climate control and cruise control. Interior functions are working as they should with exception of the factory Becker radio (turns on, just no noise) and the A/C is not blowing cold.

Power comes from a 5.5L V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, and recent service includes, new alternator, new battery, new ignition switch and new brakes. The 5.5-liter M117 V8 featured overhead cams and Bosch electronic fuel injection for factory ratings of 227 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a limited-slip differential.

Standard features of the R107 included fully independent suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and a limited-slip differential.

This 560SL is now showing just over 81k miles and will be sold with a matching hardtop, car cover, misc service receipts, manuals, keys, clean Carfax and a clean MA title.

Overall this is a very clean and presentable 560SL that will offer years of top down enjoyment for the future new owner.

Disclosures:

• As in any 30 year old vehicle there will be imperfections on the exterior and interior. Please review photos and ask questions.

• 4” tear in convertible soft top

• Radio not operable when we tested it, but turns on (looking into why)

• 2” or so bubbling down by rocker panel on passenger side fender. Otherwise, an extremely rust free 560SL

• A/C currently inoperable when tested. Looks to be converted and may just need a recharge.

DEPOSITS:

Deposits to hold vehicles is $500. Upon payment of the $500 deposit, the vehicle will be held for 72 hours pending final payment. Deposits are non-refundable due to i). the vehicles are taken off the market and we turn down other buyers during the 72 hour period and ii). there is significant re-marketing costs associated with relisting / remarketing our vehicles. Inspections should be performed prior to putting a deposit down on a vehicle.

INSPECTIONS:

We encourage inspections. We disclose known defects and imperfections but we are not you. Purchasing a vehicle is very subjective. Come visit our showroom in Dallas, TX, we would love to meet you in person! We require inspections to be done prior to putting down a deposit.

SHIPPING:

We recommend having our in house shipping team facilitate the transport of your new vehicle. We can handle all shipping arrangements in-house, so you know where your vehicle is from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’. All of our carriers are licensed, insured and bonded.

In state buyers (Texas) will be charged state and local taxes, title, registration, vehicle inventory tax. All buyers will be charged a $200 documentation fee.
