Description of 1969 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL retains its factory Pagoda hardtop and is finished in Light Ivory over Cognac MB-Tex. Work performedin1997by the previous ownerincluded a repaint, new interior items, and engine overhaul. Power comes from a 2.8L inline-six backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with a Kuhlmeister air conditioner.
A rebuilt transmission and torque converter were installed in 1999, and a new transmission shifter guard and nylon/plastic shift bushings were fitted by the previous owner. The car shift well with no issues noted.
The rear bumper was dented and subsequently replaced with a new European spec bumper by the previous owner. The original bumper is still available and will be included. The original wheels are mounted with new tires that have less than 1,000 miles on them.
The interior was outfitted with Cognac MB-Tex from the factory, though the seats were reupholstered by the previous owner and the carpet has been replaced. No tears or cracks are present. An Alpine has been installed along with two rear speakers mounted on the shelf behind the seats. The current set up is working, and the original radio is not available.All interior lights, gauges, and instrumentation are working properly.
