Beautiful weekend Benz with only 66K verifiable ORIGINAL MILES. Must sacrifice because I am buying a house and need the doe. I love this car. It has been my pride and joy for the last three years, only driven on weekends. I have lovingly maintained, garaged, washed and kept everything up to date. Proactive maintenance in the time I have owned it includes Michelin tires, oil changes, new muffler, catalytic converter, ball joint, tie rod, soft top release cable, a/c valve actuator, wiper blades, hood insulating pad. I could go on. I haven't done this out of need necessarily, but more out of love and preemptive care for the car. Cosmetically, I had the car repainted, spending more than $5K for the original Diamond Pearl at a shop that knew what they were doing. Only flaws cosmetically when I bought the car were typical dings and light wear, which were carefully and thoughtfully removed. New side moldings throughout replaced worn/faded ones. Brightwork inside and out is shiny and beautiful. The car sports original front leather seats in very good condition, and has the rare rear MB Tex kinderseat with lap belts. Original carpet, dash pad and wood interior, as well. The dash pad has a few small fissures, but otherwise is clean and presentable. The interior wood is beautiful, but not perfect with fine crazing here and there, but I wouldn't replace it. The original Becker stereo is available with the sale. I replaced an after market one with an Alpine CD, bluetooth, mp3/iPod ready with new Infinity speakers sitting behind the original speaker grills. The new stereo pairs easily with your iPhone. The original soft top is in beautiful condition, with crystal clear isinglass windows and operates easily, and closes the car nice and tight. The original hardtop is in beautiful condition and is included, along with an upright garage rack for it. I haven't used the hardtop since first removing it from the car after purchasing it. Vacuum power locks operate as they should. A/C blows cold. Has just received an oil change using synthetic oil, and has received all care from the best vintage MBZ mechanic in Los Angeles. The car has minor blemishes, but garners compliments, rubber neckers, and people asking about it wherever I drive it. The car drives rock solid at any speed and delivers you in style unlike lesser newer cars that are mostly plastic. I have the original key, books and manuals, and will give you the binder I created for all receipts and records I have. Would love to see it go to someone who appreciates it as much as I have. There are many SLs on eBay. Please, buy a cheaper one if cost is all you care about. Whoever buys this one will be a very happy camper. Sold as is, where is. Available for inspection and test drive in Los Angeles. Buyer responsible for pick up/shipping if out of the area.
