Description of 1988 Mercedes-Benz E-Class |
This1988 Mercedes-Benz 300CE was delivered new to Los Angeles, California where it has remained as a reliable and clean title vehicle for over 30 years. The car is finished in Arctic White over Palomino leather and powered by a 3.0L inline-six paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Work in the past 15k miles included new transmission work, tune-up items, a coolant flush, and more. Now showing 112k miles, this stock W124 coupe issold with afolder of mechanic service records, a stamped service booklet, and an California title. Two-tone Arctic White paint is shown in several close-up photos below. The seller noted the trunk lid to have been either repainted or replaced under previous ownership due to a rear-end collision, with the work described as of a high standard. Factory disc wheels are mounted with decent from 2015, with about 30% of tread left on them. The vehicle is photographed up close and away along with glass, bumper trim, lighting, and the fuel filler area. The cabin is finished in Palomino leather with matching carpets and plastics. Wear is noted on the trim, seats, and center console as shown in the photos below. The car is missing the driver side seat belt presenter, but the passenger side functions accordingly. The car is equipped with cruise control, dual power seats, an electrically adjustable steering column, apower sunroof. Currently, the window regulators for both main and rear windows mechanically function but the passenger side window is not receiving a signal from the center console. A rear privacy screen is present in the vehicle as well, but currently tint is used. The center stack retains an aftermarket Pioneer radio, as well as switchgear for theautomatic climate control system and power windows. The air conditioning system functions and blows air into the vehicle, but the circuit will most likely have to be charged with fresh refrigerant. The 6-digit odometer shows just over 112k miles, a handful of which have been added by the current seller. The M103 3.0-liter SOHC inline-six features Bosch CIS injection and was originally rated at just over 175 horsepower. Shifting is through a 4-speed 4G-Tronic automatic transmission. Notable repairs within the past 20k miles included Window Tint, Euro Spec Headlights, Chrome original Wheels, DASHBOARD NOT CRACKED ALL ORIGINAL, DASH AND DOOR WOOD IN GOOD CONDITION. Timing chain, tensioner and resealed front coverCooling system flush, New battery. The vehicle was involved in a previous collision when it was rear ended while parked, and in turn the front hood, grill, switches, radiator fan, and headlight were replaced and required servicing. The vehicle was repaired to a high standard through an adequate insurance policy and has retained its clean title. The vehicle also did not pass an emissions check in December of 2017 due to a faulty converter - converter was replaced and the vehicle passed smog 2 days later. The vehicle is not perfect, not insured by any guaranteesor entity, and the buyer agrees to purchase the vehicle AS-IS, with an adequate bill of sale signed by both parties.
