Description of 1993 Mercedes-Benz S-Class |
Selling my 1993 Mercedes 300SE with 345,567 miles Black sedan with black Interior. I am the 2nd owner. The Autocheck says 1 owner but my dad was the first owner, having purchased the car from a bank in Pennsylvania. I drove the car for many years prior to having the title transferred to me. We invested a lot of time and money into this car over the years. Maintained at independent shops in Philadelphia and in coastal Georgia; any major issues handled at dealer. I am a Mercedes enthusiast (have owned several e classes, most recently a 2004 E55 AMG (included in pictures) and a 2003 SL500). In May of 2017, I had the paint, bodywork and interior partially restored on this car. I had intended to keep the car forever, but I don't have the time to see through the needed repairs (discussed below) and need to purchase a truck for work. I had my shop in Savannah perform an inspection to determine what work/repairs the car needs. Their results are included in one of the listing photos. Recommended repairs Head gasket replacement: has started leaking oil. Repair to include new value cover gasket, re-timing of cams, change oil and filter, bleed and test coolant system Rear CV boots: remove rear differential and replace rear axle joint boots Balljoints, tie rods and links: replace center link and left and right tie rods; replace left and right lower balljoints Replace serpentine belt Replace all low pressure lines Replace/rebuild power steering pump Driver's door: inside door handle needs to be re-attached and new window regulator needed Other things to be addressed Odometer stopped 2 years ago; less than 5,000 miles driven since then Crack in front windshield on right side Right mirror needs to be re-glued Small dents on some body panels as is common for a car of this age Seats are in good condition, rip on passenger seat. Recent Maintenance Done New radiator Transmission Fluid Flush Standard Equipment CD Player, Power Adjustable Seats, 3-Position Memory, AM/FM Weather-Band Stereo, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Cruise Control, Automatic Slip Control (ASR), Climate Control, Sensotronic Brake Control Non-Smoker 2 accidents (one with contact, one without): The Autocheck lists the 2 extremely minor incidents the car was involved in. In 2006, an ATV cut me off and crashed in Chester County, PA. The car sustained no damage. In 2008, I was driving in Atlanta and a Lexus LS clipped my back bumper when exiting a parking lot; both cars were moving under 10 mph at the time. The bumper was repaired and recently was again repainted in 2017 with the partial restoration. I've tried to give the best description I can of what the car needs and am happy to answer any questions. If you are interested send me a message and I will give you my phone number/email address and we can talk. This car originally cost around $80k. Deposit via paypal within 48 hours; balance via wire transfer or certified check within 5 days. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping. No Reserve Auction. All sales final. No warranties, express or implied. |
