Description of 1972 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

Up for auction is this 1972 Mercedes-Benz 450SL, repainted to the original factory red color and comes with original black leather interior.

146,700 miles.
Hardtop convertible, Bosch fuel injection, manufactured in 1971 w/euro. bumpers, clean inside, clean outside.There are no sun cracks on the dashboard.
The stereo is a new Kenwood with second set of new speakers. System is in excellent condition (new).

Suspension system has a new front left axel and new shocks all around with tye rods, new H2O pump, new fuel pump, thermostat w/ full cooling system inspection, new muffler, very good tires, no black smoke from new tailpipe, battery and alternator in very good condition, smooth gear system w/rebuilt transmission, stored in winter, third owner, seepage not evident.

Left turn signal in not working, minor bubbling on small section of paint; not evident, three knobs should be replaced (see dashboard photo), six small cracks on leather at bottom of roof panel; not evident, hood release cable has to be pulled with pliers, left rear turn signal cover is cracked and taped.
