Description of 1964 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

This is a very nice California daily driving 1964 230 SL Euro model. It has the Euro headlights and KPH speedometer. It is a car i would not hesitate to turnkey and drive anywhere anytime. The body is in excellent condition with no dents. scratches or rust. Looking around it i was struggling to find any flaws. The only thing i see is one tiny chip on front passenger wheel arch and a small bubble in paint on passenger rear wheel arch but i really had to look for even those. The paint is a very high quality job with a nice smooth no orange peel finish. no overspray or tape lines. The original color of the car was ivory white. All the gaps are good. no signs of accident damage. All chrome and rubber trim is in good order. The underside has no rust but the floorpans have been patched in a few places many many years ago (see pics) The interior likewise is very nice. Seats are perfect under the sheepskin covers. door panels a little wavy. . all gauges work. wood on dash good. aftermarket modern radio/CD changer combo. The hardtop headliner is nice. The soft top has not been up in years so expect it to be crinkled and the plastic window to be cloudy. There is a tonneau cover for when the hardtop is off. The engine and auto trans are in strong working order. All stock aside from an Anza muffler. Recent full service. new battery. oil. ap. otor. il etc. The brakes are excellent. tires are nearly new.
