Mercedes 300SDL known as a great car ever built. See onyoutube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXvsx8hPyWw&feature=youtu.bemercedes Engine on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epqigg55Onk&feature=youtu.be I had this card for about 15 years. I love this car more than the new ones. I put a lot of work on the car and replaced 95% of the body parts and completely rebuild the engine and transmission. The cars run great: extremely powerful engine and the car will perform better them many other cars with bigger engine. The gas mileage is 28 miles per gallon on the highway and 25 in the city. Very reliable and easy to maintenance. About 10 years agoI had an accident on the driver side between the doors. I fixed it and replaced the doors. The doors close ok but you can fill that it is not the same. After the accident my two daughter drove the car for few years with no problems. The love it very much. My daughter moved out so they no longer use it. The paint not so great. The interior is ok but can be restored You can restore the car or use the engine transmission. You will need to fix the Sunroof or completely close it. I started to work on that but did not had time to finish it. This is the list of some of the parts that I replaced: Radiator Alternator Fan clutch Tires wheels balance and alignment
Many more parts The engine and transmission was complete restored by me. All new Mercedes or OEM parts (cost ~$5000 parts). The engine and thetransmissionhasabout 27,000 miles. I have all recites photos and paperwork. All work was done with great details according to Mercedes SPEC. Some of the think that I did: Rebuild the transmission with all OEM / Mercedes new parts Compression test420;420;420;430;410;420 Cylinder Head |
