Description of 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series |
For your consideration is my daily driven 1989 Mercedes Benz 300 TE Wagon. It is in great condition!!! My wife and I are both the 2nd and Third Owners (My wife inherited the wagon from her Godmother) Major engine work just completed:New head, valve cover, exhaust manifold, and intake gasketsComplete coolant system flush with new hoses and thermostatNew belts and tensioner assemblyNew battery, water pump, miscellaneous seals and four tires5,000-mile preventive maintenance service Everything works (electric seats, radio/tape deck, cruise control, sunroof, power mirrors, etc.). Exterior paint and 7 seats are in excellent condition.Currently registered and complete service history are available. At first glance at the exterior, one cannot help but notice the 17' authentic AMG Monoblock Wheels. This is a staggered setup sporting a 17x7.5' front and 17X8.5' rear. The tires are 205/45/17 and 235/40/17. I do have the original wheels with new tires (less than 200 miles) if the new owner wants them instead. A lot of new replacement parts and maintenance was performed during my ownership. I replaced the Thermostat and Housing, Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses, and Cooling Fans. This helped keep the wagon running at a much more desirable temperature. These 124 Benzes are notorious for running a little on the warmer side, so I wanted to keep it a little cooler, especially while running this thing around Miami. I replaced the battery last week and changed out the main ground cable. While I was under the hood, I also replaced some cracked and dated vacuum lines. I replaced the hatch shocks with a new set. It is now easier to open, and stays open. In February, a rebuilt transmission was swapped in and we also did a Power Steering & SLS Flush. This was done when I replaced the rear SLS shocks. (Self Leveling System). Both Fuel Pumps were replaced last January. At that time, I replaced the brake pads along with new front brake lines, which then required a brake fluid flush. When the tires were replaced, I also replaced the Inner and Outer Tie Rods, and had a 4 Wheel Alignment done. A Local Independent Shop Performed a service on it approximately 200 miles ago. It included an Oil Change, New Distributor Cap and Rotor, and New Spark Plugs The W124's are known for durability and dependability. This wagon runs and drives great and is in excellent condition. These 124 Mercedes are increasing in value. The rarity of the wagon, makes this one desirable ride. I am asking only $5,000.00 for this beauty because I have a 2019 company car. You wouldn't be able to duplicate the look and quality of this car for less than this price. |
