Here you found my gorgeous 1984 Mercedes 300CD turbo diesel coupe. From 1978 to 1985 Mercedes only made 8007 of these wonderful cars and they only sold them from 1982 -1985 with the turbo version. The W123 series already had a reputation for being extremely reliable and very well built and with the diesel also very economical. When the introduced the turbo version in 198, they also were much more fun to drive in town and on the freeway. This particular was finished in "Dark Blue" ( MB color code 904) with Palomino color MB-tex interior. In my opinion this is the most elegant color combination for this car and my personal favorite. The paint is still original and shines like a much newer car. This car was mostly garaged and shows very well with only minor rock chips or small scratches, after 35 years of pampered use.It is an original CA car and still has the original CA-plates from 1984. There is absolutely no rust and no accidents. The chrome is in excellent condition as well and makes for a gorgeous contrast to the dark color of the car.The interior is in wonderful condition as wel, as the many extra pictures will show. The carpets are clean and there are no weird odors of any kind. There are no rips or tears in the seats and the pads are still firm. Even the wood-accents are in great shape and still shine. The door panels and the headliner are good as well. This car is gorgeous and it really sticks out. But the best thing is the way it drives. This 300CD has only 112k miles on i, which is nothing. There are several Mercedes diesel of this vintage on Ebay right now with over 400k miles and still running well. These 5 cylinder turbo diesel engines were the most durable Mercedes ever built. This 300CD always starts up right away and has plenty of power from the get go. The transmission shifts very smooth through all the gears and it is a pleasure to drive in town and long distance. I just recently took it on a 400 mile trip and i was constantly cruising with 85-90 miles per hour while still averaging 27mpg of diesel. These W123 series cars were so well built. It is like stepping back to a time when cars were made to last a lifetime and not just until the next years model comes along. If you keep taking care of this car like it has bee, there is no reason it should not last you for another 25 years.I just had my mechanic go through the car and address everything it needed. We just had a service done complete with fluid and filter changes and a valve adjustment. The battery is new as well with a 5 year warranty. All the windows and the power door locks are working properly, so does the sunroof and even the cruise control. The hood insulation pad is new as well.I could not think of anything it needs and would not hesitate taking it on a long distance trip tomorrow. There are many more detailed pictures downloaded below . Please look at them carefull, as they can describe this car better than i can. Whoever is buying i, should not be disappointed.I would prefer to sell this Mercedes locally to somebody who could actually come by and see it . But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements for any out of town winning bidders. Please have your funding in order and do all your 'due diligence" BEFORE placing a bid. If you have any question, please send me a note through Ebay and i will get back to you quickly and honestly. This is a wonderful 35 year old classic Mercedes and as such it will be sold without a warranty.Thank you for looking at my auction ! I am looking forward to an easy and pleasant transaction.
