1959 Mercedes 220SE Ponton Coupe Sunroof Very Rare Restorable Example No ReserveThe original color of this ponton coupe is 423 green with tan interior. 830 220SE coupes produced between 7/58 and 11/60 and probably only 181 with sunroofs. This is one of 181 220SE coupes with a factory sunroof. This is one of the first made. body #27. The original motor was fuel injected and has been lost. The previous owner was trying to fit an American motor into this car. Solid subframe rails. Floor pans will need replaced due to rust perforation. There are only 4 pieces of the exterior side chrome included. 2 wheel opening moldings and 2 rear quarter spears. This 220SE coupe originally had a fuel injected motor. Mercedes also made this exact same car with a carbureted motor and badged it a 220S coupe. The 220S coupe (carbureted) had the same motor as the 220S sedan. I am including a 220S sedan with this 220SE coupe free. The last 2 photos are of the motor in the free 220S sedan.
