Description of 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

1980 Mercedes Benz 450slc coupe. Very solid desert car. All trim is there!
1980 450SLC very solid. Not rusty except small bubble by back window from seal. May be a touch of surface rust where there are any scratches. Interior needs some work - door panels, headliner are nice. Dent in right quarter from something falling on it in garage, not car accident.
Title states it is actual mileage, AZ title and in my name. I do not have knowledge of whether it is actual miles or not.
Had been sitting a long time when I got it. Was car at second home in Scottsdale Arizona of California owner. I got it back running again with a new fuel pump, new Mercedes NOS fuel tank, hose, tank screen, rebuilt fuel distributor, plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
Suspension is good for year, transmission shifts great, engine is solid mechanically. Pulled a valve cover and timing chain is tight. Also, cam oil line fittings are new or newer. Fit tight, no leaks. Oil pressure comes right up on cold start. No odd noises.
Front subframe has had factory recall update with new factory reinforcement pieces. Comes with extra back window as original is delaminated. Have stainless steel trim for around back window.
Runs good when warm, has some vacuum leaks. doesn't run well cold. If you address those it would be a fun driver. You can test drive now - it's plated and insured.
Power windows work. It's all there. All the trim. Originally a California car.
It's a solid start for restoration. Cheap daily driver with some work. Or treasure-trove of hard to find, rust free, SLC parts.

I bought it to restore and got it running. Decided that I have a couple more projects than I can finish so that's why I am selling. Not because of any issue with the car.
