Description of 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300D Turbodiesel

**Please Note I will be out of town for New Years from 12/26/19 until 1/7/2020 this may be a good thing for you so there is extra time for you to make arrangements for pick up. If you need any extra time after paying the deposit let me know, I will work with you.**Not much you can say about the Legendary 300D Turbo Diesel Mercedes Benz, renown for their reliability and durability. With proper care and maintenance they can achieve 400,000 miles with theOM617.952 Motor. The Only issue that has come up now after time and effort, not to mention money spent is, the Turbo Unit is failing, and with a Daughter in College, I cannot pursue my plan to restore the car. Also the Tachometer stopped working but everythingelse does, except the AC. The Floors are solid and perfect, The Frame is Very Good as well.

The .952 is identical to the.951apart from minor changes to fit the North American 123 chassis. It was also fitted to the European market W123 wagon, the 300TD. This was the only turbocharged OM617 fitted to a European W123. Power originally was 121PS (89kW; 119hp) @ 4350rpm, torque 230Nâ‹…m (170lbâ‹…ft) @ 2400rpm. From October 1982 - 125PS (92kW; 123hp) @ 4350rpm, torque 250Nâ‹…m (184lbâ‹…ft) @ 2400rpm.[7]Vehicles sold to the North American market had EGR equipment fitted.

  • I purchased this car at an Estate Sale along with a 1981 300TD Wagon with the intentions to restore both and possibly use these as our daily drivers and shed our other two cars, and things that have come up, the plan may have to change. I would like to keep the Wagon so reluctantly I am offering the car. I replaced the entire exhaust, Brake Calipers then just a few moths ago I replaced the alternator and battery. Has New Headlight and Fog Light Bulbs also New Tail Light Bulbs. It has had an oil and filter change. The Interior is in pretty good shape with minor wear, has the Original Owner Manual and Service Book. Originally from Texas. There are some minor areas of rust in the typical places, and could benefit from a paint job. It has a small dent in the right rear passenger door that shows as a minor accident on the CARFAX otherwise it has a Clean and Clear Title. The Antenna does not work but you can plug in your iPhone or iPod and listen to your favorite selections. The Power Windows and Sunroof work, Cruise, Windshield Sprayers, Original First Aid Kit has a Spare, the frame and floors are solid and good. I have a lot of receipts from the previous owner who owned it for 12 years. A Lot of time and money ($9186.00) has been spent, With the care it has had I would pretty much drive it anywhere once the Turbo Unit is Repaired/Replaced. About 25 Pages of Maintenance and Repair Work.SMOG/EMISSIONS EXEMPT! Low DMV Fees and Inexpensive Classic Car Full Coverage Insurance anyplace. See Videos Below about the car.
