Description of 1971 Mercedes-Benz 600-Series |
Mercedes-Benz 600-Series .Wood was redone by late Drew from Heritage wood work. One owner before me, I put about a hundred miles on it if that. The car had a Glassurate repaint 100 miles ago (near perfect), The rare area retained original leather and the car has a divider glass and 2 radio systems ( Original). The front seats have new leather and dash was made to new condition restored ...with low miles 46000 ( I called the original owner as I have the invoice to verify this ..it was brought from Germany and drove there then sent it to USA.. Engine runs like a clock. The Suspension works nicely and alcohol is in the reservoir. The cosmetic restoration did not involve any engine or transmission wor, as a car with low of a millage should not need any!I have a few items chromed locked in the trunk. Some how trunk is locked I can not open it and do not want to damage the car.I do not remember what got locked in the trunk but I had a lot of things ...I think some nice 600 tool kits...maybe the missing ashtrays . I do not like the chrome work done on 2 door windows and will recommend to redo it. This car is real 46000 miles ca, mainly by the Original owner, still with the original Title...always garaged. Engine and transmission are great. Last week the fuel filter was changed and gas tank drained as well. The Carpet is NE, never used was placed on the car this week, I would say the only major issue is opening the trunk. It maybe a simple deal, but I am not going to mess with it. I am a collector and had an expert do the work. The tires are new.....but the front one is defective has a large bubble. The suspension works and the body is simply amazing all around. The rear Bumper chrome was not done well. I do think one window was slow to move up and down ...do not remember as I have not taken it on the road since 2 years ago. But it runs well, I would change the left front tire.Additional pictures are available, very little left to make it a 100 percent car. |
