Description of 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

1983 Mercedes 300 SD 5 Cylinder Turbo diesel.Have owned this car for about 5 years. Used it summers for cruises and shows. Spent most of its time in the south, has seen no NY winters. With the lock down everything was cancelled in NYS so it has been in storage seeing limited use. Not that I wish to sell but I do not need the storage bills either. Very clean body with original paint. Was always maintained, has 4 new tires all new brakes, many suspension parts have been replaced, oil changed religiously. Clean interior, has the very expensive Mercedes real sheepskin seat covers, Previous owner stated drivers seat had some age cracks, no holes but cracks from the heat. It has a dash cover, still managed to get a small crack in it over the summers.Interior is beautiful as the pics show. Clean in the trunk and clean under the hood. Very clean underside. Power windows, moon roof ice cold air, It has been sitting pretty much since last October, when I brought it out the 1-2 shift was harder then normal. Mercedes mechanic told me that the vacuum shift control might be sticky or in need. Odometer does not work so selling TMU, Speedometer works. Tach glitches some times. Right side power seat switch is inop. Seat does work but is not plugged in because the switch sticks. Cruise is Inop. Would not hesitate to drive it anywhere anytime. No it is not showroom mint but it is an excellent example of a 37 year old vintage automobile. Qualifies for Antique insurance.Terms are simple. Do not purchase unless you intend to follow through. Payment is due in 3 days via bank to bank wire transfer or cashiers check. Check will be held 10-14 days to clear. After payment is received Title and Bill of Sale will be overnight mailed to the purchaser so that you can obtain plates to drive it home or arrange transport. You want the car as presented, you complete the sale as requested. With what is going on in the USA right now I am not entertaining people who want to look or test drive. Sorry but that is just the way it is. If you have an issue with this, that is fine do not purchase. I can store the car for a couple weeks post sale if needed. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them as best I can. Thank You
