1993 Mercedes Benz 300se W140 71,562 Miles

This well cared for, always garaged, 300se was purported to be a special order for delivery to the Canadian market in Vancouver, BC. The body is finished in Canyon Brown metallic over Rosenholz Metallic with original paint except the front lower bumper cover. The interior is furnished with black leather and carpets covered with black mats. This model is equippedwith daytime running lights, front and rear fog lights.The Mercedes was then sold out of a Bellevue, Washington dealer at 24,098 kilometers. The purchaser replaced the speedometer face with the US MPH face however the odometer is still reading kilometers, verified by receipts and waze on the road. I purchased the vehicle with 72,098 kilometers in August of 2016 as a daily driver. Upon purchase an Interstate battery and spark plugs were installed. An oil service was also performed. I have run ethanol free fuel during my ownership. (I am a BMW mechanic by trade and did all work except the air conditioning work) Additional service and repairs over the last 44,000 kilometers included air filter, cabin filter, brake light switch, mirror switch, air conditioning compressor, receiver/dryer, serpentine belt, brake fluid flush, transmission service X 2, fuel filter X 2, fan clutch, thermostat, steering dampener, rotate tires, front and rear brakes, and oil service x 5. It was serviced assuming the odometer was reading miles, no wonder it was getting 600 miles to a tank of fuel. Actual observed mileage has been 16-21 mpg. The Mercedes was driven daily until November 2018 when it became a second car and was driven more sparely. The soft close doors and trunk lid work as designed. The power rear view mirror work properly as do all the windows and sunroof. Interior is very good condition, some very light wear on the entry bolster on the driver’s seat and some scuffing (suspenders) on the passenger seat are present. The original first aid kit and complete tool box are intact. No rust in present in the chassis or body work. There are a few door dings on the body and a small dent on the hood which is so small it is very hard to document. The rear window shows some light de-laminating on the lower right hand side. The stock radio works but the cassette and add on CD player does not.The last time I drove it the air conditioning was not blowing cold, not diagnosed. The outside temperature display reads low and is not lit in the dash. Chrome on wheels is flaking. Toyo tires all around with 8/32nds of tread left front and rear. Rear main seal weeps as does the side seals on the differential. I have receipts for all repairs and maintenance from the previous owner. High lights beyond normal service work where EGR valve replacement, windshield (dealer), distributor flange, timing cover gasket, and water pump. Right front headlight has a rock chip, repaired with clear silicon. Emblems on trunk lid have been removed but are included with car. Complete owners manual and complete key set (5 keys) with case also included. Hinge on key case is broken.
