ARIZONA DESERT RUST FREE CAR! This vintage 1981 500SEL wasobviouslywell maintained and garaged. Very straight body and trim.Original paint / always garaged / always in Wyoming orArizonaUS dry climate areas. Rare optioned factoryupholsteryis ingreat original condition. This 500 SEL is was imported to the US when it was new (in the US these were called "gray-market" cars in the 80s). The enginesize and power far exceed the US models and are uniquely equipped (see the photo of the VIN build list). The car has a factory limited sliprear end, factory fire extinguisher, really cool (varyrare) factory velour fabric interior, factory curtains on the rear window, factory tool kit, and more. The previous owner installed a really expensive performance exhaustsystem on the car - it sounds amazing, but might need to be tuned to your taste. The rear window is fogging a bit in one lower corner (see photo). Youshould also expect to do minor tinkering with details and adjustments due to normal wear and aging.
