Vehicle Details Mercedes shoehorned their flagship 600 (W100) limousine engine in the normally six-cylinder powered Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL (W109). The result was a nearly 2-ton sports sedan with muscle car performance. At the time of its release it was the world's fastest four-door cars. What a machine!! This 1970 300 SEL 6.3 has been faithfully maintained by one loving owner for more than a decade. It has new tires, the AC blows cold, and it runs and drives beautifully. Paint is driver quality with many small imperfections. The interior is very nice but there is a split in the front seat leather. The leather seats are soft, supple and very comfortable! The burled walnut dash trim has been restored. The dashboard is gorgeous! The power windows and central locking system operate as they should.
