Description of 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL

This is our 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL finished in Pajett Metallic Red over Beige leather and powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a sunroof, 15″ alloy wheels, heated front and rear seats, cruise control, a Becker AM/FM cassette stereo, burl wood interior trim, and automatic climate control. The car spent much of its life in Nevada before it was acquired by our family in January 2021 and relocated to California. Service completed under our ownership included refurbishing the suspension and steering systems in addition to replacing the timing chain and tensioner, valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, and tires. This final-year W126 is now offered to the public with a clean California title.

This vehicle is a complete ACCIDENT-FREE and RUST-FREE example. All panels match VIN.

The 15″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 205/65 Bridgestone Turanza tires that were mounted in November 2021. Suspension and steering repairs include rebuilding the rear shocks, performing an alignment, and replacing the following components:

  • Front shocks
  • Rear suspension accumulators
  • Power steering gearbox and hoses
  • Steering damper
  • Tie rods
  • Drag link
  • Trailing arm mounts
  • Ball joints
  • Upper and lower control arm bushings
  • Rear brake pads

All fluids were replaced: Engine Oil, Filter, and Gasket; Transmission Fluid, Filter, and Gasket; Brake fluid flush; Coolant Flush

The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was factory rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. The following components were replaced:

  • Timing chain, chain tensioner, and guides
  • Intake manifold gasket
  • Valve cover gaskets,
  • Intake boot and hoses
  • Ignition distributor seal
  • Thermostat
  • Coolant and vacuum hoses
  • Accessory drive belts
  • Engine mounts
  • Transmission mounts
  • Driveshaft Flex Discs - front and rear
Please feel free to ask any questions and check out the car in person. This vehicle was acquired to be part of our family's collection. Every single component of the vehicle has been looked through. We spent close to $20,000 throughout a one year span in curating this vehicle. It is a fine example.
