1984 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL - R107 V8 convertible. GORGEOUS! Perfectly maintained; stock, not a restoration. Only 56.000 miles. It is a time capsule. California car. The car was babied all of its life. The drivetrain, suspension and body all are in fantastic condition. All maintenance and repairs have been performed as needed. Double timing chain. Years of service records available. This SL drives, rides and shifts like a Mercedes S-class should. The car cold starts almost instantly. Engine is smooth and quiet. The transmission shifts very smoothly, The suspension is tight but smooth at the same time. All suspension parts are up to spec. The AC blows cold and the heat is, well, hot. The car is blue on blue on blue; The exterior color is a metallic silver blue. The interior is blueish light gray leather with matching trim and carpeting. The dark blue soft top was replaced 3 years ago with new OEM material. Included is a hard top, also in great condition. A rolling stand is included for storing the hardtop. . The paint is beautiful, smooth, deep and glossy. There are no dents or dings. See photos. The chrome/brightwork is almost perfect. Every electrical function works as it should (except the non OEM stereo). This SL gets compliments constantly. Disclaimer: This little car with a big V8 is very fast and has cost me a small fortune in speeding tickets. However, it hasn’t cost a fortune in gas; it gets the best gas mileage of any R107. It rides like a Benz, smooth as silk, so you don't realize how fast you really are going, yet the car handles like a honed sports car; tight, communicative and super road gripping.
