Penned by Bruno Sacco, the W124 was one of the last of the generation of really well engineered Mercedes Benz that didn’t suffer from the cost cutting and corrosion of the 2000-era models. The legendary 24-valve M104 dual overhead cam six cylinder is arguably one of the very best 6 cylinder engines ever built by Mercedes Benz.

This300 CE was originally purchased through the dealership and picked up in the foreign delivery program as documented by the original Stuttgart grill foreign delivery badge. It has covered 140,000 miles and has had regular health checkups most recent being the replacement of the smog pump and idler pulley regular oil changes and fluid replacement as needed, spark plugs, fuel filter, fuel injectors etc.

This car features all its original manuals, tool kit, first aid kit, traffic alert triangle and roof rack (modeled from the original roof mount design) and a matching spare alloy wheel instead of a steel wheel. It ha original paint that shows well for its age.

It lived its life in Santa Cruz California after touring the European continent when when new. It now resides in Redding California.

The grey interior is a study in a classic Mercedes and is plush and logical. The interior features NO CRACKS in the dash pad and only minimal wear on the drivers seat bolster. The passenger seat belt extending arm is sticky but the drivers side still works flawlessly, presenting you with the set belt when started. The rear headrests are activated from the dash, the sun roof works flawlessly and the ac is present.

It will make a great driver quality car or, if you desire, an easy concourse restoration project to enjoy while you work on it. Fly in drive it home or have it shipped.

Reasonable price considering its many attributes, it was mostly used by its current owner as a car for his daughter to drive to work and to school. As she recently got married and is starting a new life the car is surplus to current needs.
