This legendary 1983 Mercedes 240D diesel with hard to find 4 speed manual transmission has a clean title in hand, garage kept, non smoker has low original miles for the year 66,525 and religiously maintained.

Absolutely no leaks of any kind of fluids.

The best part about this great classic is that it does NOT require smog testing, this is the 1983 version (final year) of the 240D and considered by enthusiasts improved than the previous years and it is pretty peppy, drives 80 mph on freeway effortlessly. The paint and all chrome are in great condition, and has a spectacular deep gloss, it is very evident this car spent its life in the garage. All windows (crank) sunroof, central locking and seats are functioning without any problems. All lights, hazard lights, directionals, dashboard, shifter center console illumination work properly as well as every single button in the car. The A/C was converted to 134 and just serviced, works great.

The seats are firm and the vinyl is still soft to the touch, all pleats from the seats are still raised and with substantial cushion, dashboard free of any cracks, headliner is great all piping, rubber, weather seals and trim around the car are also in great condition if not excellent. Original radio cassette and two way electric antenna work perfectly. All manuals, keys, California 80' plates, service records and original tools are all present and included in the sale. Aluminum wheels (not steel) and hubcaps in great condition with new Hankook tires 195/70/14. The engine is quiet and sounds great (according to an MB specialist) and surprisingly not slow for a diesel car, transmission is smooth and in great condition the car also recently received its regular maintenance with fresh fluids and filters. The engine compartment and engine itself are also clean and all manufactory stickers are visible.

This car runs strong, shifts smoothly with no slipping or excessively hard shifts, and is in phenomenal cosmetic condition, suspension is tight without any clunks or funny noises. Has great acceleration from a stand still position and drives effortlessly on highways and freeways.
