1964 Mercedes-Benz 220b

This 1964 220b started life in Paris after being picked up at the factory in Germany. It was driven nearly 18,000 miles around Europe before delivery into New York and finally residing in Berkeley, CA for many years. Finished in gray-beige with blue interior, this w111 is offered with some original tools, original service books, spare tire, jack, spare parts and a clean Arizona title.This Hecklosse (Fin-tail) is equipped the sturdy 2.2 L inline six cylinder that was reportedly rebuilt in the 90's and mated with a manual four speed column shifted transmission. The condition of the car is original, with matching body color 13" wheels and hub caps, the 185/80 Maxxis MA-1 whitewall tires look to be recent and have plenty of tread left on them. The majority of the paint looks to be original with some areas resprayed and touched up, minor dings, dents and rather significant surface rust on the topside of the car is present. The body is solid and straight. The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in blue, with some tears, while wood veneers accent the dashboard and door panels. Interior appointments include a padded upper dashboard, an electric clock, and a cabin heater. The radio has been removed, the dashboard is split, and the headliner is stained and separating.The two-spoke steering wheel has cracks and a chrome horn ring, it frames the vertically oriented instrumentation including a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The speedometer has been disconnected and the odometer does not work. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles, total mileage is unknown.The car starts easily, runs smooth and brakes promptly, all exterior lights work, the interior dome light is not working, the dash and all other lights are working.Please see the photos and cold start video for detailed condition of the car.
