stunning series 1 Mercedes 280SE Automatic in light Blu with Tan MB Tex interior. This car must be seen to be appreciated. It is the car for you if you’re looking for a like new W108. With less than 55. 00 miles total in its lifetime. it is practically unused by Mercedes/W108 standards. and has been serviced for all its life directly by Mercedes in Stuttgart. It is like new. Bought new on 15 April 1971 by Mr. Mario Bertoli. a truly passionate owner. he maintained the auto fastidiously. The owner’s handbook and the stamps in it. shows that every time it was possible he went to Germany to take the car to the Mercedes Benz service in Stuttgart History file includes the owner’s handbook. Mercedes Benz service book. Mercedes Benz spare Parts Catalogue. two original sets of spare keys. This car is one of the best maintained W108s left in existence and is certainly the best 44 year old car that I have ever seen in the flesh! 44 years on! BODYWORKThe light blue on this car has a wonderful shine and looks factory fresh. The bodywork is completely rust free and is in near perfect condition. Looking at this car you could be conned into thinking that it was 1971 again - this car really is that good. The car is as good underneath as on top and the underside looks almost new. The car could be a concourse contender. INTERIORThe tan MB Tex interior with contrasting wood trim is very luxurious and is immaculate all round. It really is like a time warp in there. The dash is immaculate as are the door cards. Seats are immaculate with no wear or damage at all. Headlining is in fantastic as new condition. MECHANICSThe car runs perfectly with the straight six engine. the mechanic fuel injection makes the acceleration sound beautiful. It drives in a straight line with no wandering. knocks or bangs. The drive is relaxed or quick. The drive feels very tight and assured. The automatic gearbox makes for relaxed motorway driving or sporty drive. The exhaust is new. The engine bay is very clean and an excellent base for concourse detailing should you wish to do that. Tools in the boot of the car are complete along with the warning triangle.
