Description of 1948 Mercury Other

This is an original 1948 Mercury 8 Coupe. Originally a running car from California till 1986 then moved to AZ till 1991 Then brought to Minnesota in 1999 for a complete restoration. The Engine was pulled sometime in the 2000's and rebuilt by Adelmanns Engine in Blaine Mn. they also did a Transmission at the time. The engine is a 1945 code 59 239 ci That's what it started as. It's been tweaked a little. The body is in excellent condition. The only rust was on the two front fenders, o PO stripped them down to metal. ( too bad it has a great patina ) The interior could be used as i, ut should be replaced. All glass is good. I have gone through all the parts and it looks to be at least 95% complete. Some of rechromed parts and NOS parts.
Front bumper and ends have been rechromed.
