1976 Mercury Grand Marquis 2 dr - Built 460 - C6 Automatic - 9 inch Rear End - 32,800 Actual Miles - Mint original two tone Leather - Entire interior is MINT - Loaded with all options except sunroof. Everything works - Air Conditioning was converted and totally rebuilt at 29k. It blows Ice cold - The engine was also pulled and rebuilt at 29k with modifications - CAM - Headers - 2 1/2 Total exaust with SS mufflers - Heads were ported and polished - Aluminum intake with new Holly 750 - Custom air cleaner and valve covers - all new components - alternater - dist- starter - Steering gear - Reg - Wires - etc - etc were also replaced. It runs hard at around 350 hp. and super dependable. The investment in the engine and misc at that time was over $7,500 alone. All brakes are new - When I purchased the car from the 2nd owner a couple years ago, planned to keep the car so I did everything I could to make it a fun driver. I have built quite a few high $ show cars in my 70 years. I pulled out the entire rear and front suspension. I had rear end and all front pieces blasted and painted. All shocks replaced. The rest of the underneath was also cleaned and painted. The paint was 100% original but had several chips down both sides. I had them repaired and had the gold down both sides re-painted. Keep in mind - this is mostly an original paint car and is NOT a 100 point show quality paint. However, t has been garaged its entire life and is very nice (but do not expect perfect) I also purchased 20 inch tires (larger in rear) and 20 inch chrome spoked wheels. I lowered the car 4 inches front - 3 inches rear. I also installed a new powerful AM/FM/CD and all new MB Quart speakers. The guy that I purchased the car from lived in Iowa and he had purchased it from the original 89 year old feller also from Iowa. I flew in and drove it 1400 miles home to wa state. This is a great - fun car. It sounds awesome with the mild thumper cam and aggressive exaust. The only thing that the car needs is a small rubber corner around the rear bumper that I am unable to find. This car has had a ton of money and hours and hours of labor thrown at it and will make someone a great - fun ride. You can fly in and drive it home - no matter how far home is. It will run all day and all night on 87 octane (but it will take quite a bit). I have specs on cam etc. I just purchased a 64 Mercury Maurader show car with a side-oiler 427 so this car needs to go. This car is just old enough to start good increases in value. My reserve is very fair. Questions? DICK at 509-552-1390. Would consider trade of something intresting with value around $12,000 but not show car - bike - or real estate. GOOD LUCK
