1970 Mercury Cougar Convertible Base Model

This is a nice 1970 Mercury Cougar Base model. Vehicle was restored about 25 years ago and does show some signs of an older restore. There are a few minor paint issues and should be repainted to bring it back to like new condition. This vehicle looks and runs great. I get a lot of nice comments when I attend car shows. This isusually the only Cougar at most of the shows I attend. This vehicle is a real head turner. The vehicle has been kept in a climatecontrolled garage for atleast the last 15 years. There is no rust on this vehicle. I have replaced the top with a new Ford correct top with split glass rear window. Top was replaced exactly one year ago. I have also addedbrand new wheels and B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires 3 months ago. Also has a two year old battery. I have put in a new Cougar stereo with aux plug. Everything works on this vehicle, ncluding the hideaway headlights which go up & down together perfectly. The sequential turn signals work as well. I have had this vehicle for about 5 years and have never had an issue with it. This vehicle can be taken anywhere without any worries. Strong Ford 302 motor. This car really gets up and goes. I am not sure of actual miles, ut engine runs like new. I have put an average of just 3,000 miles per year on the car since I have owned it. I haveperformed two oil changes every year as well.
