1972 Mercury Capri- Up for your review and bidding is my 1972 Capri. I have had this car in the garage for about 3 years. It is important for any person interested in this car to know that it has some rust issues. The rear lowers, ottoms of the doors in particular. The rest of the car is quite solid. I had the interior out and found no rust in the front, indshield, irewall, ear floor or inner fenders. The undercarriage is in decent shape except where previous owners drilled holes to mount clamps for some wiring which has been removed and bolts fill the holes. The car has a 2600 V6 installed but was originally equipped with a 2000 4 cylinder based on VIN codes. I have done a lot of work on this car to bring it to a running condition but it still needs some odds and ends. Particularly the exhaust system needs some work. Here is what I have done: Repaired- Dash cover, nstrument lights, eadlights, urn signals, unning lights, eater motor, indshield motor, nbsp;back seat, ack deck cover.Wheel bearings have been repacked. Replaced- Door hinge pins, attery tray, attery cables, gnition cables, lternator brushes, indshield washer hoses, rack control arms and ball joints, way bar bushings, hrottle cable, eater hoses, rake booster hoses, adiator hoses. Ihave had theradiator flushed. Rebuilt / Overhauled- Brake Booster and Carburetor (Kit only). Other- The Brakes have been fully purged and adjusted with new fluid but the front rotors should be replaced, ue to slight warping. The rear brake drums and shoos should be replaced. All fluids are fresh, ngine oil, ilter, ransmission, ifferential, nd cooling system. The car starts, rives, tops and most electrical work fine. The horn and courtesy lights are inoperable. The tires are ok for test driving, ut are weather checked and cracking.
