Description of 1953 Mercury Monterey

Fresh out of the shed after an extended rest. First 2 pics are just after pulling it out. the rest are after I hosed it off. Mostly or all original. All glass except the drivers door window is usable. Car has some of the usual rust [see pics]. Frame is solid. There are also minor dents & bends [the worst is a soft dent in the passenger door]. Car is 99% complete. This is what I have found missing. air cleaner. cigarette lighter. passenger door arm rest & key. Engine is the original Mercury flathead. I have not tried to start it. but it does turn over. It has the desirable 3 speed manual overdrive trans. Being as complete as it is & with a clean title this would be a good car to restore or just get the engine & brakes working & drive as is. Questions call Ron 507 38two 787one 9am to 9pm central time.
