Description of 1958 Mercury Other

Here we have a 1958 Mercury 2 door Sedan. This car has No Title. Being Sold for Parts only. Code on the door pillar is 64B-166-216A-F24-A-R. I did get the motor running, ut it does have blow by and smokes out the tail pipe. No muffler. It has a four barrel intake and the carb was missing when I bought it. I have put on an adapter plate and it has a 2BBL Motorcraft on it for now so it runs. I have replaced the manual steering gear as it was shot. Comes with a a 58 merc base model steering wheel I bought here on ebay, o horn ring or center button. I have replaced the master cylinder and the wheel cylinders, o the brakes do work. There is a generic type fuel tank in the trunk and an electric fuel pump located underneath the car. The column shift linkage is gone. It has a aftermarket floor shifter semi installed so 1st and reverse work along with a big hole cut for the shifter. Car can be driven onto a trailer. No battery. It comes with a set of keys that work the ignition and trunk, ever checked the door locks. It WILL need a complete floor pan and some patches in the trunk. The floor has large chunks of sheet metal screwed down over the holes. There are headliner rails and the front head light trim rings in the trunk. Also the front trim and turn signal bezel missing on the drivers side bumper I have, ut it has some damage. It was removed as I thought I found a good one at a junkyard, ut never went back to get it. I have had it for six years and just do not have time to get to this project as too many irons in the fire.Would be a very ambitious restore jo, ut could make a kool rat rod. Of course one would have to resolve the no title issue. Ask questions.
