If you like sitting on your living room couch, you will love this car. It's like driving a cloud. The Merc was originally bought in Ct. but spent it's life in the south and the condition of the body shows it. There is no rust and the faded paint makes the patina very nice. There aren't even any dents! Chrome is shinny and the wood trim is also in great shape for the age. The interior is equally amazing as the crushed valor upholstery is nearly spotless. The dash does have cracks from the southern heat, the headliner is tear free, carpet is clean and intact. The bad: rear passenger door window goes down, needs help going up, A/C does not blow cold, and there is small oil leak. SMALL. The good: All the other windows work fine including the tailgate by key or from the dash, antenna works, door locks, blinkers and turning lamps, head light sentinel service works perfectly, even the interior and lights around the door locks come on when you lift the handle. This car is nearly perfect. I just did the brakes and when I bought it the transmission was not shifting properly and it was replaced at Aamco Transmisson. I have had the car for almost 3 years and am upgrading to it's twin with only 55,000 miles. After driving this wagon, I think I will drive one for the rest of my life! ~ The Griswold's were onto something!
