Description of 1968 Mercury Cougar |
1968 mercury cougar with 302 CI This Car WasOriginally from Atlanta GA.Please see the description / photos in the engine currently in running condition and has no issues starting and sounds good it might needs some tuning! The motor does not have any knocking or ticking noises from lifters it is perfectly sound! It has 302 2v motors; transmission is going into all gearswith no issues! the brakes are in need of attention. The entire vehicle electrical is working and the headlights! They are working properly the interior is in the vehicle the dash has several cracks Please see the pictures The console and door panels / headliner are ok Some gauges are working as well I the oil pressure and temperature are not working. Whole frame/ rails and as well as all the floorboards looks ok The car dose have Air shock that it can be adjust by pumping air . The original color of the car was Sea foam Green. But it has been paint it orange .The door jams and the trunkled inside, under the hood part were left to original color. Which it makes easy to paint it back to original color. It dose have brand new gas tank installed and also new Exhaust. It dose have new sway bar linkage and some control arm bushing and more. It dose come with AC compressor. But it dose not have the AC belt. The rear seat is clean no cuts the front seats are ripped. Please see the pictures. I drove the car about 5 miles doing 60 miles no pulling or shake. But I will not recommend anyone to drive the car. Because of bad brakes. The body dose show some bondo . I don’t know that much about the history of the car. I originally bought to fix it for myself I have other project and do not have the space for it. I have tried to describe to the best of my knowledge about the car what I know.
