Description of 1940 Mercury Coupe

Up for sale to anybody who wants an easy freshen up for a Full Show Car, or a nice driver Local Car Show or Cruise Night Car as it is, this is a 1940 Mercury Coupe steel body with a Mustang II front end and rack and pinion, 4-wheel disc brakes, 327cu and 700r4 Trans, Cold Vintage Air, Nice Leather Interior, and a lot of tasteful body mods like leaded fender seams, frenched headlights, 65 impala rear tail lights, etc. It really just needs small things done to it like a wheel changin in order to update the cars appearance to get out of the 1990's, and a nice set of 20in rear and 18in front wheels would do the most affective change overall in my opinion? The paint is older and shines great, but has a few old bodywork problem areas here or there on the flat panel areas, while all the Lead Work and Hard Modification work held up perfectly, so the car could be a very nice show car with a sand, prime, and resprayed. As of right now the car looks great, shines great, but when you start looking you will see some easy to fix imperfections that is really only the age of the previous work versus abuse or neglect. Please feel free to contact me with specific questions or specifics picture needs, and I will do my best to get you what you need for an informed purchase. The absolute best way to describe this car is by saying it was built in the 90's, and from there I think it is easy for any car guy to understand that style changes, imperfections, and necessary updates come into play to have what I would call a modern show car, but this is easy to get there being all the hard work has been done and it will sell at a reasonable enough price to make it worth it to the novice builder/collector, or be in the bargain price range for a very respectable cool cruiser you don't have to trailer everywhere due to fear of paint chips. Not too many of these old Merc's out there, so don't miss out on this one, and it is being offered at a bargain reserve.
