Description of 1954 Mercury Monterey

We have decided to sell our 1954 Mercury Monterey. We had this car restored in 2008/9 by a local body shop and have driven it during the summer months to car shows and event, cruises and general pleasure driving. It is a fun car to drive and we enjoyed many trips to these events. When not in use the car has always been stored inside a heated garage,
I have the documentation on all the work of restoring and repairs done on the car, they include a "frame-off" complete restoration of the body, chassis, engine, transmissio, exhaus, brakes, electrical syste, complete wiring harness replacement, glass, interior, etc. The car was restored to original specifications in all aspects. The only deviation was an upgrade to the carburetor made about three years ago. The original carburetor proved to be very troublesom, even after rebuild. Therefor we decided to take an experienced mechanics recommendation and had him install a more modern version carb. This proved to be a very wise decisio, eliminating the problems we were having with the previous balky carb. This car is NOT a nice "20 footer, it is truly a strong number 1-2 rated car. It has won many many car show trophy's and we are very proud of it.The car always start, runs and drives wonderfully.
