1967 Mercury Cougar XR7. Barn find. Not a convertible has had the roof cut off !! 289 engine runs great, idles nice, auto transmission. Power steering, power brakes, tilt steering column, XR7 factory tach, gauges, clock etc. Engine was rebuilt with new crank kit, new rod and main bearings, new piston and rings, new cam and lifters, heads all redone with new hardened valve seats, new ignition, holley carb, transmission was rebuilt also, new gas tank, new shocks etc, then car was stored for several years. Engine and trans only have about 500 miles on them. New brake master cylinder, car runs and drives and brakes work. Car has frame reinforcement connectors, doors open and close nice, original sequential taillights still work. Original cougar floor mats with Ford part #. Last pic shows barn find. Body looks good, only rust I can see is small spot by the right rear wheel, some minor surface rust on the top of the drivers door, and the roof is missing ! In 1980's was owned and used by former San Francisco bay area rock concert promoter. Mileage shown is odometer reading, actual mileage is unknown. California pink slip title and current non-op registration.
