1963 Mercury Comet S22 Sport. This is a re-list and I have reduced the price by $500 - but this is as low as I will go for this vehicle. 6 cylinder engine, re-built roughly 5 years ago. Cosmetically its in great shape. Mechanically its in fair to average shape. Structurally it had considerable underbody rust, floor pandeterioration and rocker panel / torque boxdeterioration. I had the floor pans patched / welded and sealed and added weldedsubframe connectors so the car is a solid driver now. All body rust has been repaired and painted. The car runs very well. The front end has been entirely rebuilt. All new shocks. The electrical is intact (although radio doesn't work). The soft top motor works well. I restored the interior (including new door panels), and replaced the soft top and carpet. The car looks great and runs well. The driver's side door is misaligned - it shuts tight and opens, but is not flush with the frame (about 1/2" gap). Mechanically, the engine is in great shape - but the transmission has some leaks. I have been adding 1/4 quart of transmission fluid every few weeks. It's missing the accelerator pedal. I have one on order - but frankly driving on the arm has been surprisingly easy....Bottom line is this is a reliable car to use as a driver. I am happy to answer questions.
