Description of 1963 Mercury Comet s22 |
1963 Mercury Comet S-22, has a Ford Maverick 302 V8 installed. A new 500cfm 4 barrel carb. Motor runs very well and always starts with ease. Behind it is a 3 speed stick transmission. Under 100 miles on new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing, also resurfaced flywheel. Only rust I have seen on this car is under the battery tray, the rest appears to be in good shape! Car has fox body mustang wheels and tires. I would recommend replacing tires. Car has dual exhaust with glasspack mufflers, new master cylinder, mustang bucket seats, 1962 comet front grill. Car has a rebuilt title, title states branding date was in 1995. When I purchased the car I noticed the front fender and drivers door have been replaced. The remainder of the body panels appear to be original. Paint finish on car is Plasti-dip. Which is a removable coating, underneath is a faded blue patina. The car currently runs and drives but is still at a project stage. I would not recommend driving this car long distance in its current state. Below is the list to my knowledge of items that need attention:Car has rubber fuel line from gas tank to engineWindshield wipers not functioningHeater blower motor not functioningNo radioMissing misc levers and handles inside carMissing two door locks exterior of carParking break not functioningMisc electrical not working, could just need bulbs.Blinkers not workingSteering is looseRear rubber brake line should be replaced Please look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions. This car has "good bones" and trying to makes buyers aware of the its current condition. If you live close we can take car for a test drive. Looking to sell the car! Thanks! |
