Description of 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7

I Have a super clean rust free 1969 Mercury Cougar for sale. The car belonged to a big time banker with big pockets. He garaged the car back in 1982. Had a Chris Alston 4-link back half installed. Mocked it up with a twin carb. tunnel ram 351 Cleveland and a 4 speed. After stacking cash at this project he lost interest and decided to part it out. When I found the car it was still inside his garage with no motor or trans. Here's a list of the things he had done to the car before I got it:1. Started with a low mileage 1969 XR7 with power windows. All the power assemblies are still in place. 2. The car maintains a super clean and un-molested dash. Everything is nice and still intact. The black dash pad is flawless and warrants to be in a concourse restoration. 3. He had a Pro Builder install a Chris Alston 4-link frame Kit. The frame rails start at the firewall and go all the way to the back. All Tig welded and the fitment is top notch. Craftsmanship is the Best of the Best. 4. Installed a 9" Ford rear-end. 31 or 35 spline axles. with disc brakes. Needs a third member!5. Installed a set of Centerline Convo-Pro 15" wide wheels. with 33 x 21. 50 Mickey Thompson tires. 6. He had a back half aluminum floor built. including all the trunk area. Still retains some of the original plastic on the aluminum. Everything is pre cut/pre fit and ready for the final installation. 7. Has a location in the back to mount the brand new fuel cell that comes with the car. 8. (2) bucket seats with adjustable mounting brackets. Like the factory. 9. Full roll cage. all Tig welded with 2 built in battery trays located at the rear of the car. 10. Custom built engine plates to mount the engine into the car. The engine plates where designed around a 351 Cleveland engine. There are 2 plates total. one for the front of the engine and one for the back of the engine. 11. All the factory Ford upper shock supports have been chromed. 12. The car also has a gold anodized wheelie bar that goes with it. This car maintains all of it's original sheet metal. There's was no rust anywhere. The door in-seams are real dry with no rust. No patch panels where needed in the restoration of the sheet metal. Hard to find on a Cougar body. Here's a list of things I did to the car: 1. Sandblast all of the original suspension and paint with an Chassis black Epoxy. Installed all new Ford NOS springs. ball joints. bushings. nbsp;tie rods. rotors. calipers. ect. That's Right Ford NOS Parts all over this car. 2. Sandblasted the front clip of the car inside and out. Sprayed with an Epoxy. 3. Did all the body work to a show quality standard. 4. Primed the outside of the front clip with K-2 Primer. let dry for 30 days. 5. Block all sheet metal with 220 grit and re-prime front clip. 6. The front clip is ready to be wet sanded with 400 grit and painted. 7. We painted the back side of fenders with chassis black and undercoating. 8. Installed the front suspension for mock up. The suspension should be removed to paint the engine bay and inner suspension towers. 9. Installed a date code correct hood scoop. 10. located a Ford NOS Front and Rear valance. These could bring a lot of money if we sold them separate. 11. Had the rear taillight bezels. hood hinges. and hood latch powder coated in satin black. 12. Cleaned and painted the original Ford master brake booster and master cylinder. Installed them onto the car. The factory proportioning valve has been polished to a show quality finish.
