Description of 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 |
Vin : 9F94M508398 *Over 90 Photos Below The Write Up Here is a classic 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible with 61k miles up for auction. The car runs and drives excellent. Has went through a recent mechanical refresh and feels solid on the road! This is a California car with black plates and clear title in hand. Although not cosmetically restored, the car looks great and is fun to drive. Please take a look at my video above and if you have further questions, please call me at 949 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, the paint is an older repaint but still looks good. Has some chips on the left front fender which were touched up and a few other areas where the paint is not so perfect but still looks like a nice car even so. Best to take a look at my video above for a complete condition report. The body is straight with no major damage and paint about a 7 out of 10 in my opinion. Bumpers both very straight and in good shape aside from driver side front bumper which has some pitting and surface rust. Fog lights, window trim, emblems turn signals all in good original condition. Rear tail lights look excellent with no cracks. Front head lights open and close with no problems and all remaining lights work. Glass in good shape with no cracks. Convertible top is older and has a small dime sized hole which is patched in middle of the top. Power top function works excellent and goes up and down with no problem and latches in good shape on both side. Also rear glass seems to be separated in the middle, believe this to be original design but does not close up when top is up so this must be addressed. The interior is all original and looks great for a survivor such as this car. Driver side seat has a split in the backrest, remainder of the seats all in good original shape and comfortable. All factory seatbelts are there. Dash has no cracks and center console and dash wood grain all looks excellent All the guages work with exception of the clock. Radio works well, wipers work and all windows except for the right front go up and down. Has new window switches. Original door panels all look very good and carpeting looks good as well. Mechanically, the car runs and drives great! I had this car put back in running condition as it has California plates and was last registered in 1984! I had so much work done including radiator recored, spark plugs, belts, rebuilt all wheel cylinders, new freeze plugs, oil pan gasket, rebuilt carburator, 4 new Hankook tires, new battery and much more. Before my ownership looks like a new gas tank and exhaust were also added. The car starts and runs excellent! Smooth going down the road and handles well. Transmission shifts well with no problems. ***These prices are based on major cities and are subject to change* Gas prices and time of year are major factors.
