I came across this car through a family friend. It was sitting in a garage for many years. The car was only driven around 3k miles in 20 years. Many short trips so nothing locked up or inoperable. It was covered in dust and hardly running. With a little effort we got the cougar running and driving well. We flushed all the old fuel, cleaned carb, replaced gaskets, cleaned the interior and exterior up, pulled all the wheels off, lubed everything, tuned it up and now it’s driving nice and looking good. The 351 engine is a beast, very strong. The heatercore is bi-passed but doesn’t affect anything but heat, it’s running well. The clutch is a little worn, brakes old and chips/scratches on the paint. But for a 48 year old classic car I’d say it’s in great shape. Drive it as is or put a little TLC and it has potential to be a high dollar car. This cougar is very fun to drive, comfortable, rides good and pulls nice. I’ve gotten a lot of positive attention on it lately. I daily drove it for the last week or so and put around 350 miles on it. Drove it both Highway and city and it didn’t skip a beat. The car is being sold as is.
