Description of 1979 Mercury Cougar XR7 XR7

About this vehicleThis 1979 Mercury Cougar XR7 is mostly original with one repaint ten years ago. I have owned it less than 3 months. It had been in climate-controlled storage since 2014, part of a private collection, which explains the excellent condition of the car. This car is absolutely rust-freefrom top to bottom! The vehicle was recently serviced with all new brakes; the carburetor was rebuilt; a complete engine tune-up; a restored factory air-breather was added; all new belts and hoses where added; and four (4) new tires installed as part of a $4,000-plus maintenance update! Everything from new wiper blades to a wax job was done! In the interest of full disclosure, some of the anodized aluminum moldings have some scratches and dings, but I and patiently searched and found every piece of molding for this car in NOS condition, and that will go with the car too. It has a clear title with 65,900 miles. I verified the mileage through the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles because Carfaxonly goes back to 1981. The XR7 package came with items such as mag wheels with beauty rims; in-dash tachometer; full-gauge instrumentation; an AM/ FM stereo with 4 speakers and 8-track player (which still works believe it or not); power antenna, A/C; Ride Engineering Suspension; cruise control; intermittent wipers; power windows and more! The interior is basically flawless with no rips tears or even discolorations. It is a good solid car with a current inspection sticker. It would be an excellent daily driver or a show car for weekends. I'll even throw in a brand-new hail resistant car cover that I bought but never used, and a monogrammed dash cover (not needed because the dash is perfect) but you can have that too! Now, you may be asking why would a person put all this money and time into a car and then sell it promptly? The reason is simple: I have two disabled hands and cannot do anything to the car myself. I bought the car thinking I could -- but I can't. I even have to have someone put fluids in it because I can't lift the hood myself ... $500 Deposit required. Balance due upon delivery or pick-up. Satisfaction guaranteed as my ebay Feedback assures. Take a look at this beauty in motion at:https://youtu.be/4W0i_ImgLDASeller's NotesRecent mechanical repairs and passed inspection.Vehicle Details
