Description of 1957 Mercury Monterey |
The automatic push button start needs adjusting because of the brake. works but is a little touchy sometimes. Rear bumper looks like someone backed into something but no body damage. just a little tweaked. A few small bubbles in rear quarter panel on left side. no other rust. Car has not been crashed and theres no bondo or anything like that. The front hood blinker needs new plastic cover and the seats could use new foam in the front. I'm not a car expert but it looks to be all original. I got the car from my father and have had it for about ten years with no issues and it runs great. I did put a new carburator on it because the original one caused the car to hesitate a little. I still have the old one if someone wants to tune it. Not a mechanic or anything close. so it was the easiest way for me to fix it. I'm the third owner. and my father got it from a friend when he passed and he purchased it in Oakland California. I have all the sales paperwork along with all the brochures that came with the car. Please let me know if you have any questions about the car and I can look it up in the manuals. Also. if you want any more picutres. I'm happy to take them and send them to you. |
