Description of 1979 MG MGB

NO RESERVE BID TO OWN! I purchased this vehicle about a month ago as a project. My age at 70 and arthritis make it necessary to move it on to someone more capable. It has a new Weber carb. Exhaust headers. new distributer. new hoses and belt. new battery. reconditioned heater with new heater valve. reconditioned fuel tank using Por 15 with new sending unit and fuel pump. Body is in excellent shape and no rust. Paint appears to be a thick coat of some type of primer (Not as shinny as it appears in the pictures). Interior is complete and "daily driver" condition. Tires have good tread but signs of weathering. Needs a top (existing top will offer some protection in shipping). Very good glass. nbsp;Exhaust system after the headers needs to be replaced. nbsp; Brakes and clutch are good. nbsp; Transmission is good and goes into overdrive but sluggish both in and out of overdrive (see the 3 part U tube by John Twist on overdrive service). Engine runs but I can't get it to run well. nbsp; seems to be a timing problem. a miss. and erratic idle. however it does not smoke. a compression test shows 145/147/145/143.
