Description of 1956 MG Other

Up for auction is a 1956 (by title, ay be 55) MG Magnette 4dr sedan. There isn't a ton of information on these about US model cars, ut this is an earlier model. The car was pulled out of a garage from an Estate by our shop New Vintage Automotive in Cookeville, N 38501. We cleaned the interior, leaned out the fuel system and carb bowls. It had last been registered in 2009 and was about 2 years since it had run. With a new battery and checking over the oiling system, leaning the fuel lines and bowls of the carbs up, t started right up. It does run, rive, nd stop...but I would suggest to trailer this car home. The lights and such have not been gone through to suggest it would be street legal. The car presents well, ut it is an old restoration. The paint is aged and not what I would call a professional job to our standards, ut not where I would feel it had to be repainted. If you are going to restore the car, han this point is moot. Shifting is a bit harsh, ut I haven't really taken it much further than around the block a couple of times and move it in and out of our shop. It appears that there was trim located behind the front fender wells that is missing. The rear window trim is present in the trunk

In case this is added to Bring A Trailer, do not claim this to be an exquisite show piece, o haters keep hating. This is a unique model of MG that doesn't seem to pop up that often and maybe the previous owners did things to the car that is not in your liking, lease move on.
